How do I write the page range?

Use commas for individual pages and hyphens for runs: 1-3, 7, 12-15 gives you pages 1, 2, 3, 7, 12, 13, 14 and 15. Pages are numbered from 1, the same as they appear in a reader. Leave the box empty and you get the whole document.

What happens if I type a page that doesn't exist?

Accepted Answer

Numbers beyond the end of the document are ignored, and if nothing valid is left you get an error rather than an empty PDF. The page count of each file is shown next to its name so you can check before running.

Can I split one PDF into many separate files?

Accepted Answer

Run the tool once per range. Each run produces one PDF containing the pages you asked for, so three runs with three ranges gives you three files.
