Question 1

Is it safe to use an online PDF tool for confidential documents?

Accepted Answer

With most sites, the document is uploaded to a server you cannot inspect. Here it is not: the file is read by JavaScript in your own browser and never transmitted. That difference matters for contracts, invoices and scanned identity documents.

Question 2

Is there a file size limit?

Accepted Answer

None imposed by us, because nothing is uploaded. The practical ceiling is your device's memory — a few hundred megabytes is comfortable on a typical laptop.

Question 3

Can it open password-protected PDFs?

Accepted Answer

No. Encrypted files need the password to be decrypted, and this tool deliberately never asks for or stores passwords. Remove the protection in the application that created the file first.
